The Paintings For Patients Project

Having spent many hours in hospital waiting rooms with my Dad this project was born to enable patients, and their families, to relax by focusing on a beautiful original painting, reducing stress and enhancing well-being.

Could you or your business be a kind collaborator and gift a painting to a care space, or give a smaller contribution towards the total cost?

All money from this initiative helps fund a free art workshop at the place of care where the painting goes to, and workshops in the wider community with people of all ages, exploring and celebrating nature and our environment, run by Share Your Story Through Art Community Interest Company (SYSTA)

The Paintings For Patients Project was set up by Emma Skeet, an artist prioritising the environment and human rights in projects since the 1990's, and a Yr10 work experience student who came up with the name and designed this website!

With work full of colour and pattern, they hope this project will bring joy to the amazing staff who take care of us and our loved ones, as well as patients and their families while sitting in waiting rooms.
